Are you a software engineer who is looking to combine your writing skills with your technical aptitude? As a technical writer for ScaleGrid, you will work actively and closely with our development team as well as with customers to deliver blog content that informs and guides our customers to success. As a part of a fast-paced environment, you will see a direct impact on your contributions as we continue to improve and develop our products to the next level. You have demonstrated experience in a highly technical sector, such as software development, computer science, or engineering. Your ability to analyze and interpret complicated database management systems is exceptional, and you have a natural desire to help others in comprehending complex topics. You will be in direct contact with customers and analyze their use cases to create engaging blog content that
Responsibilities
- Write blog posts about technical topics related to databases and database management
- Research topics of interest for the ScaleGrid blog, such as guides and tutorials, in-depth technical articles, and integrations
- Create code samples for using ScaleGrid
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure articles are optimized in regards to clarity and visual appeal
- Get hands-on with developers and customers to learn their scenarios and communicate your learnings
- Understand and learn complex concepts, and be able to communicate these simply and engagingly to customers
- Skills and experience
- Database or database management software development experience
- Ideally have previous experience writing about complex database topics
- Strong writing, production, and technical editing skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of relational, document, or in-memory databases
- A proactive approach to communication with developer teams
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and with a remote team
- Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation
