The Role

Come join our unique, Swiss based, SimTech/CloudTech venture KaleidoSim (https://www.kaleidosim.com) as Technical Sales/Marketing/Business Development Manager in order to build up a brand new Technical Sales Team. Work in close coordination with the Co-Founders in order to inspire our customers to embrace our revolutionary new cloud technology. Spearhead not just technical sales, but marketing and business development to make it known to the world that a new cloud technology is available that can boost efficiency and productivity in the fields of Numerical Simulation, Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), the Training of Artificial Intelligence (AI) via Simulation data by factor 50-100.

Kaleidosim is a computational Kaleidoscope unlike anything Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) specialists have ever seen before. Just like a Kaleidoscope, Kaleidosim allows the simultaneous inspection of any (simulation) scenario under multiple angles. Speeding up workflows of vast computational studies so dramatically that the whole field of computational engineering will be revolutionised. With Kaleidosim extensive cloud-based computation becomes so simple and fast that completely new levels of information-depth become available at the push of a button. Insight, predictive-quality and understanding concerning even the most complex simulation problems can thus be exponentially increased.

In essence Kaleidosim is a Massive Simultaneous Cloud Computing (MSCC) Platform designed to boost efficiency and productivity in the fields of Numerical Simulation, Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as the Training of Artificial Intelligence (AI) via simulation data by factor 50-100. This is achieved by orchestrating computational cloud resources simultaneously, rather than in sequence.

Kaleidosim democratises HPC High Performance Computing in that it makes vast computational resources available to anyone. With Kaleidosim's extremely simple and easy to use browser-based UI, users can access and orchestrate virtually any number of cloud computers simultaneously... and that within a few minutes.

Kaleidosim's openly accessible web-platform under kaleidosim.com has been specifically designed for users of the open source simulation tool-box OpenFOAM who have already set-up their simulation cases and wish to tab into our cloud resources, whether for single-simulation runs or for vast parameter studies.
However we are not limited to OpenFOAM. Upon getting in touch via [email protected] we can on-board almost any simulation/high performance computing software into our cloud environment.

Who we are looking for

We're looking for an energetic, innovative sales professional passionate about and proficient in either one or more of the technical topics of simulation, cloud computing, high performance computing, CFD or FEA, to be a technical Leader for our sales organization in exploring outcomes and identifying business value of KaleidoSim solutions in simulation based product and process design, computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis.

*• Eventhough we work remotely: An existing resident/working permit for Switzerland or the willingness to immediately take up residence in Switzerland is a 100% must. *

Therefore the job is directed towards:

a) holders of Swiss citizenship or Swiss resident/work permit,
b) citizens of EU, EU-affiliated country,
c) candidates that can obtain Swiss resident/working permit ‘swiftly’;

• Required languages: English (must), German/French/Spanish/Italian (plus);
• A Masters Degree in either Engineering, Computer Sciences or Natural Sciences (e.g. Physics) is minimum requirement. An additional degree in economics, sales, Business Administration or similar is a plus.
• Deep technical expertise and understanding of the business value and operational outcomes achieved by simulation based engineering/product development methods;
• Ability to converse and advise from the shop floor to the boardroom, and a passion for demonstrating and simplifying deeply technical solutions;
• Experience value selling or solution selling a plus,
• Willingness and ability to learn a lot and fast about Kaleidosim’s technological background in the context of Cloud Computing and Simulation;
• The desire to learn every day and the ability and courage to challenge and engage with some of the best minds in the next generation of simulation technology (Physics, Mathematics, Engineering);
• Desire to help shape products as they develop by being an advocate for the customer inside our organization;
• Ability and willingness to travel (post-COVID restrictions) to customer and internal meetings (predominantly Europe, occasionally global);
• Experience with CAD and/or CFD and/or FEA and/or any type of numerical simulation software;
• Conversant at least in the main concepts of simulation, CFD and/or FEA, with some hands on experience;

*Your Responsibilities *

• Responsible for leading and presenting all technical sales aspects of a KaleidoSim Software sales cycle.
• Technical Specialist Sales partner with KaleidoSim to assist in the development, management and execution of strategies and tactics for closing business.
• Meet with individuals at all levels within a customer's organization in order to understand their issues and position solutions while discovering business opportunities for KaleidoSim.
• Perform in-depth assessments of customer processes and needs.
• Investigate, uncover and understand the customer's business issues and demands in all aspects related to high performance cloud computing.
• Utilize knowledge of business trends, technology, and industry changes to identify areas of opportunity for customer process improvement.
• Capture metrics for quantifying and justifying the customer's return on investment (ROI) for the purpose of technical closure.
• Demonstrate proposed solutions & product overviews and relate them to the customer's business issues.
• Develop and conduct professional presentations & demonstrations, and lead sales discussions with customers to generate sales of KaleidoSim solutions
• Position and sell KaleidoSim‘s unique business values in competitive sales situations against other vendors.
• Presentations, demonstrations, and discussions may be in-person, web-based, or via other mechanisms
• Influence product development and product direction through customer feedback and identified business opportunities
• Develop long term customer relationships and achieve customer satisfaction goals.
• Maintain and grow respected, trusted advisor relationships with customers
• Work with Management to create Marketing strategy & Marketing content;
• Strive to lift Business to a new level in order to grow Kaleidosim to a be major player in providing cloud solutions for high tech high performance computation applications.
• Partner with Management to assist in the development, management and execution on strategies and tactics for closing business
• Support the success of KaleidoSim partners by mentoring and training partners‘ personnel on technical sales activities and execution.
• Support internal sales and team learning through creation of sales content.
• Organize company sponsored events (webinars, conferences) to promote KaleidoSim’s solutions and the customer business issues they target
