About the position

You will join as our first engineering hire besides the CTO and our Head of Product to work on our smart metering operating sytem.

• Strategic planning and road mapping in collaboration with Product Management and Operations
• Architecture, design, conceptualization of our backend systems
• Development and implementation of new features of our smart metering operating sytem
• Maintenance and improvement of existing system components

*Qualifications where looking for
*

• Degree in computer engineering, computer science, or similar technical field
• Several years of professional experience with design patterns, design principles, software architecture and algorithms, and automated testing (unit, integration, and functional)
• Very good programming skills using Java in a professional environment
• Experience with relational databases - especially MySQL and database replication/backup concepts
• Experience working with distributed and parallel systems and web applications
• Fluency in German, English an advantage (written and spoken)
