Unix Build Engineer

Responsibilities
. Primary responsibility would be to handle Unix builds. In that, managing the entire framework of Unix hardware, file-system, machine maintenance etc.
. Setup and managing replication of build data across different development centers using rsync or other replication mechanisms.
. Smoothly running day-to-day Unix builds that includes understanding code compilation failures and addressing them, packaging builds and distributing.
. Manage release branching using GIT and CVS.
. Write and manage code within the UpdateCenter development framework.

Requirements
. Minimum BA/BS in Computer Science.
. Minimum 5 years working on Unix platform.
. Strong understanding of Unix systems including kernels and flavors such as Linux, HP, AIX, Mac, and Solaris.
. Strong understanding of Unix compilers such as gcc and cross compilers.
. String understanding of Unix maintenance such as zpools, clones, mirrors.
. Experience in C++ or python coding
. Proficient in source code repository management including branching. Git and CVS knowledge desired.
. Familiarity with scripting tools.
. Familiarity with database. SQL desired.
. Proactive, strong communication skills and a team player.
. Ability to handle multiple tasks and follow through everyone of them.
