Director of Engineering

What we do

Noiz is a gaming startup that launched in October 2018. Video game brands (from indie game companies to AAA publishers) come to Noiz to create sponsored campaigns that aim to spread awareness about their games. Twitch and YouTube streamers who have signed up for Noiz can opt-in to sponsored campaigns that interest them. We automate the process of giving streamers CD-keys, tracking their stream and facilitating payments — while providing valuable data to brands (e.g. total reach, viewer minutes watched, chat sentiment, etc).

The Role

The Director of Engineering will partner closely with the CEO and take ownership of engineering at the company.

Responsibilities

• Design, spec and build core products and features
• Collaborate with team on technology decisions
• Coach, manage and scale engineering team
• Implement and monitor product-market-fit tracking

What we're looking for

• You have a computer science degree and 3+ years experience of relevant professional experience with a technology company
• You have experience working on large-scale MERN web applications.
• You have led teams building digital products.
• You can write high-quality JavaScript and understand the latest in React patterns.
• You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• You care about product and have a deep understanding of product management and product life-cycles.
• You value code simplicity and performance.
• You have an understanding of modern cybersecurity requirements and/or have worked with cybersecurity/penetration testing firms.
• You have worked with data at scale.
• You want to work in a fast, high growth startup environment.
