We are an established company looking for a self-motivated, high energy, detail oriented and business-to-business (B2B) sales professional to help us make a bigger impact in our existing industries. The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities within their assigned territory and industry. Sales will come from continual prospecting which builds your pipeline.
This is a quota carrying position. Compensation for this role consists of a mix of a generous base + commission. Business Development Managers who fail to meet quotas are not retained, as our reputation, our process, and our close partnerships should provide ample opportunity. Our top-earners in this role should surpass $100,000+ in annual compensation.
Responsibilities:
• Driving new business by pursuing and securing new prospects
• Complete sales activities (phone calls, emails, meeting, etc.) that uncovers new prospects
• Document sales activity in Company CRM system
• Drive prospects through the established sales process, delivering value at each step
• Regularly and reliably closes business
• Meet or exceed quota expectations
Skills & Experience Required:
• 3+ years selling a complexed solution in a B2B environment
• Strong business acumen
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Brilliant at making outbound phone calls
• Highly skilled at developing relationships while building confidence and report with prospects
• A master at moving prospects through a sales cycle and closing business
• Proficient at documenting sales activities and creating proposals
• Ability to quickly learn and utilize a variety of software and systems
• Relationship-building/interpersonal skills: active listening, communication (verbal and written), and empathic aptitudes
• Storytelling ability: engaging an audience and connecting the dots
• Communal amenability: dependable, reliable, adaptable
