Sr. Engineer II-Comm Sys RF - (854-20)

Responsibilities:

• Design and simulation of the physical layer of wireless communications systems
• Development of system models of the purpose of performance evaluation, optimization and design trade-offs
• Working closely with in-house RF/Analog designers to develop system level specifications
• Working closely with in-house digital designers to realize algorithms and digital modules from Matlab/C to RTL
• Working closely with RF/Analog, Digital and Validation teams for bringing-up, testing and troubleshooting of test chips and SOC's
• Work documentation and development of design and test plans

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• PhD degree with 5+ years’ experience Or MS degree with 8+ years’ experience in design and implementation of wireless systems
• Strong background in signal processing and communication theory
• Programming experience in Matlab and preferably C/C++ for system modeling and evaluation
• Experience in IC/SOC design, chip bring-up, and testing
• Experience in wireless protocols and standards including 802.11 WLAN and Bluetooth is a plus
• Experience in wireless technologies using OFDM, DSSS, etc. is a plus
• Team player and strong communication skills
