As a part of Wireless Solutions Group (WSG) this role will focus on design and support of the wireless subsystem (PHY/MAC/Clocks etc.) IP that goes into Wireless Silicon products in the area of embedded low power Bluetooth and WiFi IoT space. This also includes supporting verification and validation activities of the wireless subsystem.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to interface with various other groups like architecture and applications engineering. As well as be well organized, methodical, detail oriented, and a self-motivated team player.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Wireless Protocol/PHY HW architecture and RTL design
- HW design of fixed-point arithmetic/DSP and RTL implementation
- Writing design documentation and getting it reviewed
- Supporting FPGA emulation, simulation verification
- Supporting validation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
BSEE with a minimum of 8-years of experience or MSEE (preferred) with a minimum of 6-years of experience in the area of Silicon HW design and verification working on WiFi and Bluetooth Silicon Products in IoT space.
Required skills:
- Wireless Protocol/PHY design knowledge (802.11 WiFi or Bluetooth)
- HW design of fixed-point arithmetic/DSP implementations
- Proficient in System Verilog/Verilog RTL implementations
- Knowledge of low power design/verification techniques
- Linting, CDC, Synthesis, and STA techniques
- Experience in working with IP/Block level verification environment
- Scripting/Automation skills (Make/Perl/Tcl)
- Engineering Documentation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
In addition, the following skills are a big plus:
- Knowledge of HDL/C based verification
- Experience in WLAN (WiFi-6) /Bluetooth (BT5.x) IP design/verification
- Experience in WLAN (WiFi-6) Modem HW design/verification
