Junior Embedded Hardware Engineer

RACE is building and deploying India’s most advanced battery swapping infrastructure for use in 3-wheelers and 2-wheelers. We are a deep-tech start-up building and pushing the boundaries of battery swapping technology.
RACE was founded in Hyderabad in 2018 by two BITSian alumni with the intention of accelerating the electric vehicle adoption in India.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• As part of RACE’s hardware team, you will be involved in PC board and schematics design in optimisation projects and new product development.
• You will be required to get your hands dirty to test manufactured PC Boards, validate functionalities and debug issues during product testing.
• Function as the eyes on ground for the engineering team during product validation and deployment.
• Down the line, you’ll be exposed to embedded system testing & debugging and will be responsible for feature addition & improvement projects.
• Involve in power electronics development for Chargers and Battery Management System.

Desired Skills:

• Simulation of analog circuits, circuit analysis and basic understanding of high power circuits.
• Strong with any of LT Spice, T Spice, Simulink for electronic circuit simulations.
• Professional design experience: circuit simulation, library creation and management, schematic entry, PCB design
• Adept with circuit design software - Altium / Orcad
• Basic knowledge of embedded coding to assist firmware team in remote debugging and testing.
• Prior experience in working with 32-bit MCU’s, MOSFETs in PCB design
• Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN/RS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with documentation abilities.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or similar disciplines.
• 1+ years of work experience in embedded hardware field.

Bonus:

• Prior work experience in developing electric vehicle products
• Knowledge on Li-ion batteries, Battery Management Systems and Chargers will be a very positive addition.
