Supply Chain Manager

We are currently looking for a supply chain manager to join Karachi Studio.

Karachi Studio is a product operations studio that manages end-to-end supply chain for a diverse portfolio of early-stage companies, with a focus on speed, quality, cost and scalability.

In this role, you will be leading and managing key aspects of product and non-product supply chains, such as inventory management, logistics management, and managing 3PLs for Karachi Studio’s portfolio of companies.

The supply chain manager will work closely with our supply chain team, and the customer experience teams of our clients to ensure on-time delivery to customers. You will also be responsible for procurement of non-inventory goods such as packaging material, warehouse accessories, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure in-stock position for all inventory items and supplies for Karachi Studio’s clients
• Work with the supply chain planning team for timely placement of purchase orders
• Lead all in-bound and out-bound logistics activities, including RFQs and initiations of inventory shipments with relevant carriers
• Continuously lead initiatives to improve efficiencies in the supply chain and increase margins for Karachi Studio's clients through carrier, 3PL, and other logistics partners and providers
• Build relationships at executive level with suppliers to ensure that problems, issues and improvement opportunities are addressed in a timely and effective manner
• Develop and implement supply chain systems, policies and procedures that drive a thorough supplier selection process, supplier development and performance as well as establish timely supplier evaluation and feedback to ensure continuous improvement throughout the supply chain
• Develop and manage all key performance indicators across logistics and fulfillment functions
• Be accountable for inventory level and product cost tracking and work in collaboration with Finance to improve these metrics
• Continually assess supply and delivery risks and build appropriate mitigation strategies and contingency plans

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, bachelor's degree not required
• Able to manage 3PL accounts across a diverse set of clients
• Knowledge of the electronic industry, procurement of components, assemblies and contract manufacturing, packaging elements
• Experience with EDI management, accepting retail POs, ASNs, and fulfillment of orders
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and analytical skills a must
• An understanding and experience of ERP, WMS, IMS-type systems
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a diverse business set, switching contexts, juggling detailed info, and with attention to closing loops
• Experience with RFQs, negotiations and implementation with 3PLs
• Being based in Austin, Texas but would be ideal for potential in-person meetings
