US North America Financial Controller

*SUMMARY: *

We are looking for a Corporate Controller to join our team! Reporting to the CFO, you will be a trusted partner, building out and managing various aspects of the US/North America finance team, including analytics, monthly reporting, accounting operations, systems, audit, and tax.

You will build strong relationships across all departments in the Company, instilling a culture of strong communication and partnership with finance.

The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise the North America finance team including functional responsibility over accounting, payables, receivables, commissions, payroll, intercompany accounting, KPI metrics, and US banking relationships.

This is a tremendous opportunity for someone with Software/SaaS or Subscriptions accounting experience with seven to ten years of accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in public accounting and then moving to the corporate world.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages all US accounting functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management.
• Maintain internal control and safeguards.
• Revenue recognition: Serve as the subject matter expert for revenue recognition and technical accounting matters.
• Reviews, evaluates, and implements accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures all financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepares and presents financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Supervises monthly account reviews; prepares and presents monthly financial statements.
• Coordinates annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents.
• Directs budget preparation, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets.
• Provides management with timely reviews of the organization’s financial status and progress.
• Ensures compliance with statutory reporting.
• Monitors receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated.
• Oversees accounts payable function including but not limited to compliance with expense
• reporting, capitalization policy, and purchase order procedures.
• Assists with special projects as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) Accounting and or Finance. CPA a plus
• Seven to Ten years’ experience in Accounting, Reporting, and financial analysis.
• Experience working with SaaS/subscription and Service companies.
• Preferred experience w/ NetSuite and FP&A systems.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret economic conditions and anticipate the impact on the organization.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
