Job Description

Alchemy Data Centers, a leader in providing complete data center services, is looking for a bright and intelligent individual to become a member of our Network Operation Center team. We are looking for someone who is a quick learner and is willing to learn and eager to grow with the company as they advance in their career path.

Minimum Requirement:

Must take the job seriously. Very reliable and flexible to handle different task.

Real world experience supporting Linux (CentOS & Ubuntu) and Windows servers (2008R2 to 2019) including the use of logging and tracking systems, troubleshooting problems and resolving them or escalating them to senior technical staffs. Thorough understanding of Linux commands, filesystems and shell scripts.

Expertise with networking in a Linux and Windows environment such as TCP/IP, subletting, DNS record management, DHCP, SSH, Iptables etc. Thorough understanding of wired Ethernet and troubleshooting network connectivity problems.

Strong hardware (RAID 1,5,6,10, RAID controllers & iDrac) configuration and troubleshooting skills including patches and firmware update.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a member of a support team. At the same time has the ability to work alone with problem solving mentality.

Fast and efficient customer service skills. Experience working with help desk ticketing system, writing e-mail responses, and providing basic written how-to or web page help information.

Ability to follow instructions and procedure.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Skills:

Expertise with Red Hat, Ubuntu, Free BSD and LAMP stack both in system administration and installation/configuration.

Expertise with common services, applications & monitoring system such as SMTP, SNMP, BIND, Apache, IIS, NGINX, MySQL, PHP, HA Proxy, Nagios and Zabbix etc...

Experience with Hyper-V & VMWare installation and configuration is preferred.

Experience working in a data center is preferred.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems/MIS or equivalent experience is perfected.

Any IT certification is a plus.
