The Role

You will be joining 1Password as a key leader in the Products organization and will work closely with other VP and C-level executives at the company. You will report to the Chief Product Officer & GM for Emerging Solutions.

As the VP of Technology Partnerships and Business Development, you will be responsible for building and growing a team focused on strategic technology partnerships. This is a high visibility and cross-functional role. You will be working collaboratively with leaders across the company including from sales, marketing, support, engineering, finance, and others.

This is a Remote opportunity within Canada and United States.

Some key activities you will lead include:

  • Define the technology partnership strategy that completes the product vision for B2B and B2C product portfolio
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities across a wide array of complementary sectors including IT, Security, Developer/Dev-Ops, E-Commerce, Fintech, and more.
  • Establish a partnership and developer program to create a strong ecosystem around 1Password products
  • Develop thorough business cases analysis and prioritization of strategic partnerships
  • Own creating the partnership roadmap with a compelling narrative and robust rationale
  • Work with product management, engineering, UX, and cross-functional teams to ensure partner products delivery
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, finance and other cross-functional teams to ensure new partnerships achieve market adoption
  • Lead key strategic initiatives and lead cross-functional
  • the current product portfolio through partnerships that capture adjacent market opportunities
  • Explore new product concepts from partner or buy opportunities and establish a culture of experimentation
  • Help identify and capture synergies across the various user personas and use cases of 1Password ecosystem of partners
  • Help define the build, buy, partner strategy to expand the portfolio

What we’re looking for:

  • The ideal candidate will have:10 -15+ years of leadership experience in Strategic Alliances, Technology Partnerships, Product Management, Product Strategy, General Management, and/or other related functions
  • Deep understanding of the following technologies: SaaS, Identity and Access Management, Developer Solutions, Enterprise Password Management and Security
  • Deep understanding about customer segmentation across SOHO, SMB, Mid-Enterprise and Large Enterprise
  • Knowledge of the user personas and distinction in pain points across IT, Security, Developer, and DevOps
  • Excel at strategic thinking, storytelling, and establishing partnership relationships
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and being results-driven
  • Strong executive presence and able to communicate effectively to partners, customers, analysts, and executives
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of market, industry, and competitive trends
  • Able to recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing team
