Role Summary
Let's get rid of the bullet points. The SE team is made up of full stack engineers who work a few different things: client related tagging and analysis, tool development, and infrastructure setup. There are SEs everywhere globally, but our team mainly sticks within APAC (Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, and Kazakstan).
Our company focuses on media and analytics, so most of what we do is in that area. To get an idea of the work, it could be something like building out a product recommendation engine that ingests analytics data, and then adding API endpoints to that engine and deploying it to Google Cloud. It also sometimes tagging client's sites, which involves using Google Tag Manager to inject analytics JavaScript snippets onto a client's web page so that we can track user behavior. It also could be building out software that interacts with APIs on various analytics and media platforms.
You'll have the chance to work on many different things and (hopefully) find something you want to focus on more. You'll learn a lot about Google Cloud, data manipulation at scale, how the analytics and marketing world works (on the digital side), how privacy regulation is changing the internet, and more.
