About The Team
Smartkarma is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Operations team in Singapore.
You will play a key role in overseeing all accounting and finance related matters, along with monitoring the day-to-day performance of the company, producing month-end reports and helping to prepare the annual budget.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis. The ideal candidate would have spent time at a Big 4 accounting firm, followed by experience at a corporate (SME/Startups included).
You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, and work closely with other members of the Operations team, along with various outsourced vendors.

Your Day-to-Day
The role will include, but will not be limited to:

1. Overseeing all accounting and book-keeping for the group
2. Preparing consolidated group accounts
3. Producing management and shareholder reports
4. Monitoring client accounts and ensuring all invoicing and renewals are done promptly
5. Overseeing the preparation of regulatory and tax filings
6. Liaising with external auditors, accountants and outsourced vendors where required.
7. Preparing applications for local government grants
8. Preparing annual budget and monitoring budget performance

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
• Experience managing finance operations for a subscription business model catering to enterprises and consumers
• Highly motivated and proactive with strong project management, organizational, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate with all levels of the organization
• Commercially minded self-starter who can think outside of the box

• Experience working with new subscription management software
• Comfortable with Xero accounting software and Google Suite
