Launch Pad is a coworking space located in the heart of Newark, in the historic Hahne Building, steps from the action on Halsey street, and a hub for creativity and entrepreneurship. We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who can capture the meaning of our motto and make it a reality for our members in Newark. In the role of a Community Manager, you are the heart and soul of Launch Pad Newark. As part of our role you will be a key part of a growing company dedicated to inspiring entrepreneurship in cities across the country.
Your responsibilities will include; finding new members who will contribute to the vibe of our space and the community at large, working with the operations manager to ensure smooth day-to-day workflows that enhance a clean and safe environment for our members, and lead efforts on creating programs to enhance and activate the space. You are an innovative and forward-thinking individual who will work alongside us to expand our vision of access and inspiration. Responsibilities:
Community:
- Curate community programs offering value added events
- Plan and execute monthly community building events
- Contribute to social media, outreach, newsletters, as well as explore possible partnerships
- Maintain a positive relationship with all members and create outlets to showcase support
- Sales
- Facilitate both drop-in and scheduled tours of the space on a daily basis
- Manage the sales process from following up on new leads, signing up new members, to facilitating their move-in/move-out
- Experience with CRM is preferred but not necessary
- Inventory management, weekly reporting
Operations:
- Addresses member concerns and be the go-to person for our members
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the space
- Orient first-time members and short-term customers
- Be available to members in person, via phone, and email
- Establish efficient processes for the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep the space running
- Ensure all members are set to be billed correctly on the first of every month and manage outreach to any members who have missed payments
- Marketing:
- Create mutually beneficial partnerships in the community to benefit members, support other Newark businesses, and increase brand awareness
- Manage all social media platforms for your location, including Facebook and Instagram
- Send monthly newsletters to members and the greater LP community in Newark
- Work with an internal marketing team to influence the direction of all paid advertising, audience targeting, and local marketing initiatives
Requirements:
You are:
- Tech-savvy; comfortable working with web-based technologies, which include Nutshell, Asana, Google Suite, Slack, and Proximity (our member management software)
- Love engaging with customers, and creating hospitality inspired experiences
- Community-oriented and committed to Newark’s continued success
- Extremely resourceful; you look for the answers to your questions before asking
- Willing to work hard with a passionate remote team and support Launch Pad’s organizational mission and goals
