Ethical Products is an international distributor of consumer products based in Essex County New Jersey. We are searching for an Assistant Controller to join our team.
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the organization’s Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly Financial Reporting for its domestic and international companies. One direct report.
Manage the collections of Accounts Receivable for their domestic and international companies. One direct report.
Manage the Accounts Payable Department for their domestic and international companies. Two direct reports.
Prepare weekly wire payment transactions for inventory payments using online banking websites. Verify inventory payments for accuracy. Invoice / Packing List / Bill of Lading / Receiving.
Confirm changes in wire payment instructions with international factories.
Process consumer refund payments using banking portal.
Setup and maintain a cash forecasting system.
Performs other duties as assigned by the CFO
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA preferred
Prior experience in public accounting
Consumer products experience required.
Importing and distribution experience required, including inventory accounting.
International wire experience required.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Worked in an ERP system environment required
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Quickbooks
