Site reliability engineer

We’re looking for Site Reliability Engineers who are passionate about performance,reliability & security. You will be working closely with our engineering team to maintain the uptime of our database infrastructure

Location: We are primarily looking for candidates in Bangalore but are open to other locations in India for the right candidate. At the moment however, like most teams we are fully remote.

What you'll be doing:

Build robust in-app and infrastructure monitoring and alerting to notify the team when needed, including microservice uptime, resource utilization, etc
Diagnose, and troubleshoot errors in our database services
Improve monitoring and alerting to detect outages and problems before our customers
Take part in Root Cause Analyses
Collaborate with software engineers to optimize availability, performance, and reliability
Participate in on call rotation to support our database infrastructure

What you should bring:

2+ years of experience working in a DevOps/SRE or similar role
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (new relic, splunk, prometheus, etc)
Strong experience with at least one public cloud provider (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Considerable experience with Linux operating systems, networking, security, compliance, etc
Solid shell scripting experience
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
B.S. in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent work experience

We’re especially excited about candidates who have:
Familiarity with database technologies and concepts
Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases at scale
Experience managing a deployment and runtime platform for a system handling many billions of monthly transactions
