Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to come in and build out our email strategy and programs in a start-up environment and influence the efficacy and growth of the next hyper-growth marketplace. We're seeking an Email Marketing Manager to join our remote team and will report to the Head of Marketing and work as part of the marketing team. He/she will be responsible for building and scaling email acquisition, retention/engagement and winback campaigns and processes that drive growth. Our ideal candidate is marketing and tech savvy, data-driven, with proven hands-on email and CRM experience and an ability to move fast in the face of ambiguity.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan, develop, implement and manage in-house email and push marketing campaigns (no agency execution team) across the customer journeys, with a strong focus on converting paid traffic efficiently and engaging both sides of the marketplace.
Own campaigns end-to-end from strategy and build to reporting, analysis, and optimization
Plan, design, and execute lifecycle marketing tests to uncover opportunities for driving increased campaign engagement and conversion
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure lifecycle communications are closely aligned with sales cycles, product releases, user experience and more
Identify and troubleshoot issues in complex marketing programs
About the Candidate
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is excited about driving growth through email with the following credentials:
3-5 years of hands-on expertise in B2B email marketing at scale, from acquisition to conversion through the life cycles using marketing automation tools such as Hubspot
You are strongly analytical, including using data to derive insights, produce regular reporting, and perform A/B testing and analysis
You have a track record of resolving prioritization conflicts and creating email execution processes at a growing organization. And you do this effectively in a remote environment.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are adept at partnering with many stakeholders to produce campaigns in a fast-moving environment
You are comfortable modifying and updating HTML and CSS email templates to create new or update existing campaigns
You have experience in B2B marketing, especially small businesses, or B2C marketplaces
It’s a plus if you have experience with app marketing, including Push Notifications and in-app messaging
You are intellectually curious and a quick learner
You are a team player
Highly analytical, structured thinker who is able to obtain clear ideas from complex information and very clearly communicate them to a diverse set of stakeholders in a way they will understand
Very comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment; must be adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary
Strong proficiency in Excel and the ability to understand and interpret numerous key performance indicators
