Senior Backend Developer (M/F/D)

Crashtest Security is a cyber security startup located in the heart of Munich. We are a team of tech lovers, that makes the IT Security space interesting, even for non-techies. We are pioneering in the multi billion dollar market of automated vulnerability assessments (penetration testing), and an innovative SaaS solution, which allows modern dev teams to perform security assessments of the web apps with a click of a button. With a strong client base, including Ottonova, Flixbus and Datev, we are now looking at the global expansion of our product and want you in our team.

Your role at Crashtest Security
We are looking for an experienced backend developer who does not stop at coding services, but also wants to operate the infrastructure for running your services. We are planning to grow on a global scale and you will play a vital role in ensuring that our system is able to scale as well. You will take full responsibility for all aspects of the backend development, which includes:

• Strategically planning and developing new features in the backend in Go
• Joining an agile software development team and performing code reviews for your peers
• Describing our tech stack with Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC) using Terraform
• Operating and monitoring your services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Identifying bottlenecks and creative solutions to address them

*Your qualifications: *

• Minimum of 3 years experience with developing backend services in PHP / Go / TypeScript and SQL databases
• Minimum of 1 year experience with Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC) using Terraform to describe a tech stack on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Previous knowledge of HashiCorp’s Vault and IT security is a big plus
• Additional knowledge with further programming languages (TypeScript and/or PHP) is beneficial
• Computer science degree (or similar degree)
• Structured working and systematic approach for solving technical challenges
• Ability and willingness to excel in a dynamic start-up environment
• Excellent english communication skills, German skills are beneficial
