The Role
Reporting to the Director of Software, the Senior Software Developer / Technical Lead is a skilled people leader who motivates and inspires teammates and fosters an environment of continuous improvement. This full-time position is responsible for helping steer the team's technical and coding guidelines and processes, the Senior Software Developer will guide the ongoing development of our platform, including actively designing, coding and modifying website from layout to function, according to specifications.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Act as a Lead Developer on projects.
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing web app.
• Work with project teams on projects.
• Communicate clearly and regularly with management and technical support colleagues.
• Recommend improvements to existing web app, mobile apps and internal processes as necessary.
• Test and maintain our web app to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Drive and manage best practices.
• Analyze, architect, modify, write and implement software code related to the creation or maintenance of software applications and services.
• Work in collaboration with Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure that product development is focused on meeting and exceeding customer requirements.
• Ensure implementation and refinement as required of formal process to support the software development lifecycle process.
• Create software requirement documentation, software design analysis and drive implementation.
• Analyze code and application execution for optimization and performance tuning.
• Performance management of direct-report staff members including quarterly goal setting, performance monitoring, coaching and involvement with managing performance improvement, when required.
• Communicate company goals and promote safety practices to team.
• The role's time will be split between management duties and approximately 70-80% keyboard time designing, planning, and coding.
Position Requirements
Experience and Skills:
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Experience in implementing Cloud/SaaS solutions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies such as: HTML, CSS, Vue.js (or similar), JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
• In-depth hands-on experience with application architecture and design.
• Up to date on the latest industry trends, able to articulate trends and potential benefits clearly and confidently.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and direct reports.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in software development and engineering practices.
• DevOps experience is a plus.
