The Role
Who are Bewica?
We are a UK-based startup on a mission to make cyber security simple for small and medium-sized organisations. Founded in 2017, we give organisations the tools and training to protect against key cyber risks such as phishing.
Our main product is a cyber protection platform that brings these tools and training together into an intuitive dashboard that can be used by any business - not just those with in-house IT specialists. Alongside this, we also have a number of partner integrations including cyber risk reports and an agency dashboard. We work with a growing number of partners including insurers and banks.
Our tech stack is:
- React, Redux web applications
- Realtime NoSQL database
- Go, Python, Javascript
- Docker microservices and cloud functions
- Google Cloud Kubernetes engine
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced full stack developer ready to help us add new features and improve the existing platform. You will be keen to build, test and learn, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Although you will obviously work closely with your development colleagues, we also expect you to work well with our marketing and cybersecurity teams and not be afraid to share any ideas or opinions you have. We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing microservice architectures and excited about the challenge of helping organisations and individuals to be more cyber secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high quality and well-tested code for our platform
- Work with product designers to help develop our world-class product and create a UI based on the agreed designs
- Collaborate and review code of other engineers
- Create and present ideas and solutions for improvements to products, services and processes
- Test product and maintain after go-live
What we'd like to see from you:
- Hands-on coding experience with a tech stack like ours
- Technical background (BSc level or higher in CS, Engineering or Science)
- Eligible to work in the EU
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to demonstrate a history of shipping great code and applications
Nice to haves:
- Practical experience in TDD
- Cyber security experience or know-how
- Previous experience in a SaaS company
