CTO, Full-stack Developer

HowzBout is seeking a Co-Founder and Lead Developer, who is driven, passionate, and seeks the challenge of helping to build out HowzBout past the MVP, while cultivating and recruiting the founding technology team in the States. In this position, he/she will help lead the tech team, drive the tech design and scalability of the HowzBout technology platform and be a critical member of the management team. He/she will work closely with the other founders who are more sales, marketing, and product oriented. Together, we will execute on a product vision/road-map that values customer/data centric development with tight feedback loops.

Our Tech Environment:

HowzBout’s tech environment is all focused on personalization done through AI and Data analytics provider, achieved through our Data Management system. If we had any initial preference on the tech stack going forward, it would be to utilize the latest in open source technologies that promote speed to market, commercialization, ensure scale, and give us a recruiting tool. If we were to rattle off technologies that we hear a lot about today (or have leveraged in recent past), they would be as follows: React, AngularJS, Node.js, Java, Objective C, Swift, Android, No/MySQL. All that being said, this role will be crucial to plotting out our Beta launch, testing, recruiting, and preparation / execution on a full-scale product launch in Feb. 2020.

What You Will Do:

- Establish the tech vision and help lead all aspects of HowzBout’s development, including being hands on in the development during the early stages (Post MVP)
- Provide leadership to current and future functional level heads (i.e. mobile leads for Android and iOS, front end/design, back end and support and testing)
- Create a culture of quality, agility and high performance enabling HowzBout to attract, develop and retain outstanding talent
- Work with HowzBout’s Management team and Board of Directors to plan and set the company’s overall goals and objectives - regarding all things technical

What You Need for this Position:

- Demonstrated experience as a driven and passionate technologist who has been a great team member that others seek and desire to work with and for
- Ability to lead/manage and be an ambassador for the company
- Hands-on experience with open source environments and cloud-based technologies
- Experience with consumer and/or mobile applications a strong plus
- A self-starter attitude – prior startup experience is a plus
- Most importantly, are or truly want to be an entrepreneur and have a strong passion for building a disruptive company from the early stages in the market we’re addressing
