About the Role

Twitch enables content creators to live-stream content to their communities across the globe. Our suite of advertising products help creators, brands, and sponsors accelerate the growth and engagement of their communities. As a member of the Ad Products organization, you’ll be part of a talented, passionate, and customer-obsessed group working to make Twitch the best advertising platform for creators and advertisers alike.

Twitch is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team that is responsible for building capabilities that support and expand demand for advertising opportunities on Twitch. As the leader of a growing team of engineers, you will drive development of massively scalable services, APIs, pipelines, and extensions to our ad server technology. Together, these systems power Twitch Advertising, arming creators, advertisers, and internal Twitch teams with the tools and insights they need to grow.

You Will:

  • Help shape the roadmap, manage capacity and inspire a high-performing team to deliver the right products and services for our customers
  • Build, own, and operate reliable experiences, systems, and services
  • Champion engineering and operation excellence
  • Collaborate across teams, organizations, and 3rd party partners to deliver value to our creators, viewers, and advertisers

You Have:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including hands-on technical expertise and/or management.
  • 5+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
  • Experience partnering with product and program management teams to decide and accomplish product roadmaps
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent technical education and work experience
  • Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, testing automation and operational excellence

Bonus Points

  • Experience in the advertising industry
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem of services (EC2, ECS, RDS, Dynamo, Lambda, and CloudWatch)
  • Familiarity with ETL pipelines (Kinesis, Airflow, Redshift, or Spark)
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and the container ecosystem
