Project Lead (Mini CTO)

Location: New Delhi (currently remote working)

Background:

We are a start-up HR-Tech team within TechWise digital, working on creating next generation TA platform. These tools & the platform is to ease the life of a recruiter and bring about revolutionary changes in the way talent is acquired. These applications are aimed at solving day to day big problems. We wish to develop and deploy tools, which are ‘so simple’ as – ‘buying an ice-cream and enjoying it’ kind of experience when bringing talent and providing excellent candidate experience.
Job purpose:

This job will exclusively focus on Design, Architecture, Development and Implementation of highly scalable multi-threaded world class applications. Directs the work of software engineers to ensure the best practices around software development.
As a leader, set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop people, and manage performance. Be the mentor to the team, bring latest technological adoption to the current world class application that is being built and be the techno-business guide to major stakeholders.
Job Responsibility (Skills Required):
• Lead and manage a technical team to design, engineer and implement highly reliable, scalable, extensible, maintainable, and operable software products and platforms.
• Architecture the software application with suitable ideas, suggestions.
• It is expected that you drive major decisions around architecture as well design & development at this stage.
• Assess the current technology state, evaluate options, and define the technology strategy for the future in these applications / areas.
• Drive technology innovations to derive much higher efficiencies and greater customer delight.
• Anticipate and manage the risks associated with day-to-day technology operations.
• Ensure ongoing operational stability of the current applications and systems.
• Be the guide, coach to the team and decide on major architecture for software as per expectations.
Required years of Experience: 5 to 8 years.

Education Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent from premier institute is a MUST.

Experience and Soft Skills Required:

• Minimum of 5-8 years hands-on experience on Java Development with MySQL.
• Out of total experience, 3-5 years’ experience managing and leading teams developing enterprise products in a high-growth, fast-paced software engineering company.
• A combination of software architecting, and development experience would be the best.
• Must have good experience in MySQL.
• Must have good experience in CI-CD/Jenkins and GIT .
• Must have good experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Micro-Services, JPA, Multithreading, Hibernate, MySQL, MongoDB,JavaScript and related technologies.
• High level knowledge of Angular 2+ / Bootstrap framework.
• Desirable knowledge of AWS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good at multitasking and organizational skills
• Should have the ability to independently analyze requirements, design, code and test system change requests/enhancements.
• Proven track record of growing and nurturing cohesive, high performing development teams.
• Should be able to guide team members.
• Has an eye for details, results driven and takes the accountability to meet expectations.
• Has passion to constantly exceed own quality benchmarks and is a self-starter.
