Reforestum is building a next-generation marketplace to make carbon offsets more impactful and trustworthy through technology, enabling companies and individuals to easily offset their carbon footprint by acquiring and tracking forest shares and carbon credits.

We are developing cutting-edge technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) deployed to analyze satellite imagery and radar data, all aimed at helping companies and individuals finance large scale projects that restore and protect nature and sequester carbon with greater visibility of outcomes backed by data. We call this our Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) tools.

Your role in the team

• As a Sr. Full Stack Engineer, you will lead our development team, you will be crucial in the development of our products
• For exceptional candidates with a willingness to go the extra mile, you will have the chance to becoming CTO of the company in our next phase of growth
• While being a FullStack you would be primarily focused on Front End development, with eventual Back End development focused on creation of RESTful endpoints.
• Design and implement end to end data visualization solutions and UI components and RESTful API endpoints
• Be part of a team with other Front End, Back End and Full Stack engineers, working with our CEO to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through implementing pixel-perfect design.
• Create test automation to ensure quality of features delivered, including functional and non-functional requirements
• Watch and guide the quality of the code and product delivered. Troubleshoot and debug when needed to meet feedback from customers and peers
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Work in a remote team
• Contribute to create team culture with a focus on performance

We expect

• At least 5 years of experience in a professional environment of Full Stack programming and MsC / BsC education in computer science or similar engineering education
• You are comfortable being an all-terrain software engineer and understand that working in an early stage startup means that sometimes you will have to work on simple tasks like updating our Wordpress or adding a tracking code here and there
• You are self-sufficient; able to work independently
• You agree with our user-centric approach. We are obsessed with providing a great experience to our users!
• Outstanding Front End development experience in React/redux, Typescript and JavaScript.
• Some experience in Back End development in languages like Java, .NET, Nodejs, PHP. Especially in the area of API creation.
• Awesome software engineering practices, from all usual types of testing and frameworks (unit, integration, functional, performance) to PR reviews, pair programming, RESTful API creation, SOLID principles, etc
• Experience with CI and CD, deploying services on the cloud -AWS, Heroku, Microsoft Azure
• You have been improving the quality bar of the teams / companies you have worked with in your career
• Experience managing a team of software engineers is a plus
• Extra points if you have professional experience in developing SaaS products
• Experience in usual suspects development tools like JIRA/Asana, Confluence, Github, CircleCI and similar
• Proactive team player with high quality awareness and independent working attitude
• Excellent communication skills in English
