Quality Engineer

Each of our hair care products is customized to a person’s hair needs based on the results from an online consultation. The individual data is processed through a proprietary algorithm and made-to-order in the Prose lab using natural active ingredients. {Role Focus}

Design quality testing procedures to ensure product leaving factory is meeting Prose and customer expectations
Direct collaboration with the R+D team based in Paris.
Develop in line and end of line testing procedures for all products based on current and future manufacturing processes
Create incoming inspection criteria and test procedures, and train necessary staff to perform process on all raw material deliveries
Collaborate with production team members and process engineer to highlight potential areas of quality problems, and address with procedural changes or implement sampling / testing
Create method for returned product inspection and validation
Train quality inspector to perform all necessary testing from incoming inspection, end of line and out of box inspection, to RMA processing
Work with supply chain team to create and implement supplier scorecards from critical material vendors
Drive root cause investigation activities to improve product quality through corrective actions and preventive measures
Interface with customer support team for quality-related tasks, audits and incidents; collect and summarize customer quality data to drive improvement and improve customer satisfaction
Develop, analyze, and present Key Performance Indicators as they relate to manufacturing quality

{The ideal candidate}

B.S. Degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or industrial engineering or related discipline
3-5 years relevant work experience in quality management, ideally within cosmetics or pharmaceuticals field
Strong understanding of good manufacturing practices and history of implementing quality systems
Regulatory compliance experience a plus
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization
Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization
Strong sense of urgency with excellent problem resolution and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
