Product Engineer – iOS

As the second member of our engineering team you will be responsible for more than just the technical side of the company, you’ll play a pivotal role in forming our engineering culture and processes. We’re a highly product oriented team and you’ll use your knowledge of software in deciding what we build next as well as what the product evolves into over time.

You will get to see all aspects of the business as we roll out new products, expand into new international markets, and grow our team. We move fast at Pineapple, but we also have an emphasis on building a high quality product. We are looking for someone who can strike the right balance between moving quickly and shipping clean code.

You’ll work primarily on our existing iOS product, building features and making improvements.

Your skills and experience

You should have:

• 2 years of experience in Software Engineering.

• Built a mobile app used and loved by people. (Bonus points if you share a link to the app in the App Store)

• Have an in-depth knowledge of Swift and iOS frameworks, especially UIKit & CoreData.

• Knowledge of best practices and modern iOS app architectures/patterns.

• You have a passion for mobile engineering and an understanding of the challenges of distributing and building for mobile.

It’s a bonus if you also have a good understanding of:

• ReactJS
• Node.js
• NoSQL
