Intern - Corporate Communications

We are looking for an exceptionally bright, motivated intern to join the corporate communications team at OpenX. This role will work collaboratively across all teams at the company on a variety of projects and initiatives, and provide the candidate hands on experience in corporate communications and tech PR.

The communications intern provides support to the larger team through a variety of functions. Key responsibilities include tracking news, building media lists, taking notes and compiling key metrics like share of voice. Contributors in this role have the opportunity to pick select areas of communications to explore further, and work closely with another member of the communications team to expand their knowledge and experience in that area.

This is a full-time, paid internship position for the summer of 2019 based in New York City.


**Key Responsibilities**

- Monitor all forms of media and compile daily news update to send company-wide
- Maintain communications project tracker and update daily
- Assist with social media campaigns across Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
- Develop social media campaign reports using analytics tools
- Assist with story development for Ad Tech trade pitches
- Build and update media lists including business press, Ad Tech trades, etc.
- Develop and maintain awards and events lists, and monitor editorial calendars
- Collaborate with marketing team on cross department projects
- Write and edit corporate blog posts
- Support industry events planning and execution
- Develop briefing documents for media or analyst meetings and speaking engagements
- Overall administrative support for corporate communications team


**What we’re looking for:**

- Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelors in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing or those currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in communications or a similar field (with 3 years completed)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- Previous relevant job/internship experience at a PR agency or organization preferred
- Passion for technology or advertising/media industry
- Social media experience
- Proactive, flexible, willing to jump in where needed, and able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Experience using Google Docs and building presentations in Google Slides and/or PowerPoint
