Looking for an accountant that is hungry for problem-solving, clarifying cost structures, and creating realistic budgets to provide enough information to make quick financial decisions in the business. The accountant's input will be critical and frequently taken into plans and new projects. All accounting is done on Wave, Stripe, and using bank statements. All team communications happen on Trello and WhatsApp group.
Probation period of 2 months.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage business cost structure and relay potentially unneeded or neglected expenses
- Create 6-month budget based on owner's 6-month plan
- Consult on monthly budget based on accounts payables
- Report on monthly P&L in team review meeting
- Reconcile accounts monthly to match balances to bank/payment service balances
Skills
- Holistic approach to accounting taking business realities into account
- Detail-oriented in budgeting and reconciliation
- Team-oriented in discussing concerns and ideas
- Fluent or bi-lingual in English
- Knowledge of US taxes for freelancers
- Willingness to learn about Saudi zakat for freelancers and establishments
