CTO - Early-stage technology Startup with founder equity stake with successful traction & attention.

BEST@ is a platform for short video competitions that enables enhanced interaction between challengers (or competitors), viewers (or voters), and brands. Our platform rewards winners with sponsored prizes and other users with gamified behavioral rewards.

About Us:
Best@ is an early-stage startup in the short-video content space. Both founders have deep experience in scaling startups from both the operator & investment side. We seek another member in our founding team who will be able to provide an additional angle to our team's strength.

Job Description:
We are looking for a CTO to provide technical expertise for the business. You will be responsible for dealing with internal and external stakeholders to strategize, build, and implement a comprehensive tech suite.

This will be our first FT tech hire, so we will need someone who is well-versed with current tech & has strong business acumen to take a self-starter approach in leadership of our tech build.

Upon start, you’ll evaluate our live MVP app & optimize, shift, or build out development capabilities in alignment with product strategy & business plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical strategy & roadmap that aligns with the company’s vision & business plan.
  • Research & expand proprietary software (secret sauce) that will set the company aside from other businesses
  • Build full tech suite - inclusive of front-end (iOS & Android) and back-end (BI & data management)
  • Expand UX suite of gamification features & build digital token capabilities.
  • Build and monitor infrastructure traffic & functionality
  • Build tech team processes inclusive for future QA & data protection
  • Ability to implement all stakeholders' feedback to make adjustments & further define tech strategy
  • Create useful KPI monitor dashboards & visualizations
  • Present reports on tech status, goals, and progress
  • Build a tech team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CTO or extensive tech backgrounD & expertise
  • Problem-solver & self-starter aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excited about startups & sees and shares our vision
  • Understanding of all coding languages required to get us to our end-goal (Swift, Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, .Net, Javascript, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge in Gamification, behavioral algorithms, and digital currency preferred!
