The Role

Writing Project Managers play a key role at Hotghostwriter by guaranteeing the quality of our core product, book writing, as well as the experience delivered to our clients during the writing phase of each project.

Starting from matching each client with the perfect writer from the 100+ talented writers in our team, to monitoring writing to ensure quality and timely delivery, stepping in when needed to resolve issues or provide answers during production, to finally passing a solid manuscript to the editing team for the final polish before delivery.

But beyond just pure project management, we seek leaders that want to actively contribute to a growing brand by driving innovation, increasing quality standards, and helping us deliver the best product and experience ever.

Here’s what the role requires:

Responsibilities:
-Initiating and doing daily upkeep of all projects at the writing stage; ensuring product quality, timeliness, and the delivery of a VIP experience to each client. Leading each project all the way through to editing whilst empowering and supporting the team as and when challenges arise.
-Managing and supporting, together with other Managers, the team of writers by keeping them busy, engaged, and at their best.
-Actively monitoring the quality and performance of all writers together with the Editing Manager, as well as working with Recruitment staff to keep great talent on our team.
-Working with the management team to drive improvements to quality, experience, and process.

Skills and Experience
-Experienced writer and/or editor. A degree in literature, creative writing, arts, or similar is a plus but not essential.
-Management or other leadership work experience preferred.
-Leadership, communication, and general people management skills.
-Ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly.
-Comfortable with working independently and being accountable for the success of an entire team.
-A knack for staying calm in high-stress situations and handling a high volume of demands. Ability to prioritize and take action accordingly, while leading the same with staff.
-Time management and organizational skills visible in a strong ability to coordinate people and tasks into an efficient process.
-Some sales and/or customer service experience is a plus.
