The Role

Fullstack is one of Australia's fastest growing firms serving innovative high-growth tech and online companies.
Due to growth in the firm, we have need for a seasoned part-time CFO to help serve our client base.
The virtual CFO will work closely with key clientele and use data as a key driver for decision making. You will be expected to lead the finance and governance functions of these organisations, and operate effectively in an environment that values its talent as a key driver of its success.

This is a firm and a role, therefore, that will suit someone who doesn't know the meaning of the word "impossible". Who values brainstorming ideas and solutions with smart, engaged, receptive leadership; who believe in a servant based leadership style and put their people at the forefront of everything they do.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you'll be responsible for accurate reporting of financial results and managing our client’s financial affairs. You will be expected to work closely with the executive leadership team and have an affinity for technology.

What your role will look like....
• As part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you'll be responsible for the financial management of the organisations we work with on a virtual CFO capacity.
• Managing the financial reporting for organisations. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial plans and all statutory financial reporting
• Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the ELT to make critical business decisions
• Presentation of financial results and insights to the Board
• Play a key role in the formulation of the business's strategy
• Developing financial modelling to underpin all product business models, performance indicators and forecasting.
• Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice
• Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls
• Managing hedging and foreign currencies (if relevant)
• Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organisation is compliant with accounting standards
• Managing and overseeing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements
• Managing relationships with Investors (where applicable)
• Managing and overseeing the company’s financial systems
• Investment appraisal and analysis
• Presenting results to non-finance people to understand
• Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of staff
• Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
• Risk Management to ensure the business has a solid risk framework in place
• Overseeing commercial decision making from tender analysis, margin analysis, pricing analysis etc
• Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs
• Advising on market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations to the ELT
• Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information
• Reviewing all formal finance related policies and procedures, as well as ensuring all HR and ITC policies meet statutory and governance requirements

• Strategic thinking, planning and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to collaborate with upper management to organise, plan and achieve company financial goals
• Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA
