As part of TSG, our Workplace Technology team is responsible for the strategy, engineering, and strategic deployment activities for all end user services, including mobile services, Windows physical and virtual desktop, Mac, Microsoft 365, email, chat, collaboration, and related technologies. The Role

Workplace Technology is seeking a Senior Real-Time Collaboration Engineer (Teams, WebEx, Zoom, Streaming Video, Virtual Events). You will be responsible for the technical engineering of tools and services related to high profile events and services, globally. You will be responsible for technical engineering for events, executive meetings, streaming broadcasts, and conferences across BNY Mellon. You’ll define global standards for the next generation of technical capabilities for BNY Mellon events, while leveraging technology and best practices so that high quality, interactive, engaging, and memorable experiences can be produced.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and lead technology strategy and strategic deployment for existing and future Real-Time Collaboration services across Microsoft Teams, WebEx, WebEx Event Center, Zoom
Development of streaming video and event architectures for Town Halls, Webcasts, and Virtual Events with familiarity with products such as: Qumu, Marketo, Cvent, Zoom, plus future service offerings such as Social 27, Kaltura, Microsoft Stream with ownership of eCDN products such as Hive, Kollective, Ramp and similar.

Contribute to the technical strategy and engineering for real-time collab including defining requirements and standards, developing architecture and design, and execution of work slate.
Provide SME level support for the architectures and standards of the service delivery of this space, including end-to-end expertise of cross-functional technology products and services
Resolve engineering-level escalations of technical issues and disruptions minimizing impact on talent and audience.

Leverage key vendor relationships; engage with external partners/agencies where needed to develop and define appropriate services and technology

Interface with internal service stakeholders, bringing industry insights and thought leadership on technology, audio, video and production services and tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Operations and Technology teams to design and build out future live streaming infrastructure.

Technical review and evaluation of new tools and novel techniques to elevate audience experiences and enhance visual storytelling.

Develop best practices and playbooks around Technical operation of key Event Technologies. Provide peer-level support for SME's on the Real-Time Collaboration team to assist in the support and resolution of escalations.

This person is a subject matter expert in several of the tools/technologies used in the space. Leads the development infrastructure engineering growth strategies and initiatives. Leads initiatives to analyze complex infrastructure problems to be solved with advanced design. Leads the evaluation of the effectiveness of the organization's existing infrastructure technology and tools. Analyzes trends to develop strategy for the implementation of upgrades that will enhance the reliability, Resiliency and efficiency of the IT infrastructure. Provides leadership to execute project plans and performance requirements for all stages/phases through the management of human capital resources. This person is a subject matter expert in at least one of the tools/techologies used in the space. Participates in or leads initiatives to analyze infrastructure problems to be solved with advanced design. Utilizes standard procedures and policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Works with Application Development and Quality Assurance, Testing and Business teams to understand infrastructure needs during the development, testing and production BAU processes. Ensures these needs are taken into account when developing infrastructure. Acts as escalation point for major incidents. Leads strategy to increase automation across the organization. Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred 10-12 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

Required:

Minimum 8 years hands-on experience with network video (conferencing, streaming, digital signage, IPTV) and collaboration platform technologies (Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and similar platforms) within a corporate environment.

Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience with globally accessible, secure, live streaming/virtual events as well as physical events technologies

Preferred:

Experience with cloud/SaaS solutions from an engineering perspective

Experience in a regulated industry (Finance, preferred) with a firm command of Info Security requirements and restrictions

Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence others, gain rapid alignment, and secure support.

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience engaging with executive stakeholders, events production staff, and end-users

Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail, able to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines within a dynamic environment

Demonstrated diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
