About Us
Activism Always’ AI platform produces analytics and recommendations to support the social media engagement of mission driven organizations. This sector understands the value of data in operations, but the majority of organizations lack resources to perform data analytics. Activism Always’ AI platform allows organizations to flexibly and reliably organize data into easy-to-access insights, visualizations and personalized social media recommendations. It develops, implements, and educates financial and user-accessible data analysis technology for mission driven organizations. Activism Always is currently in the process of developing this technology and has been offering personalized data strategy services to nonprofits such as Campaign Zero and Empowering a Billion Women Foundation.

We will be starting our pre-seed funding round and applying to equity based accelerators this summer with guidance from the two incubators that we participate in. We’ve been engaging with nonprofits, small business, foundations and mentors to validate the idea, MVP concept, business model and marketing strategy.

What we are looking for
Our all female, minority led startup is passionate about bringing data to the mission driven sector. The ideal candidate will ideally have a similar passion for social impact, ethical and responsible technology, and a commitment to upholding our team’s diversity, equity, and inclusion standards. We are looking for an individual with a technical background in software development and are eager to join a rapidly growing, early-stage startup as a Product Manager. This position will require a technical leader who can support and guide development of our social media listening product; we need someone with technical experience in building a software product as well as someone with the work ethic to eventually lead a small team of engineers.

What you’ll do
Bring product to market and develop iterations of the product; the demo will be completed by May
Build and lead a small development team, do code reviews, agile meetings, and teach software engineering best practices
Help with fundraising process (accelerator interviews, meetings with angel investors and venture capitalists)
Participate in multiple functionalities as we scale, including assisting with project management, analytics, and software development
Work closely with the core Activism Always founding team to grow the Activism Always message and brand

Who you are

• Has a passion for creating tech products for under-served markets and mission driven organizations ― and ideally, have demonstrated engagement with social impact work in the past
• High commitment to developing ethical AI and tech products to support mission driven organizations (nonprofits, small businesses, etc.) and their social impact
• Has experience building and deploying robust web and mobile applications
• Is an expert in Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, React Native, Node.js, Express and AWS
• Has experience with data analytics and reporting, experience with social media data analytics, and natural language processing
• Wants to lead a team of engineers (potentially early in their career!)
