With customers mentioning at every demo how impressed they are with our platform, our sales accelerating, and a first marketing team being built, we are now changing gears to accelerate our go-to-market.

We are expanding our passionate team with Pharma/Biotech Sales Agents (experienced in the life science market) who will be collaborating closely with our CBO, CEO, domain expert, and onboarding specialist.

To contribute to our joint mission, you will help Business Developers, Scientific Leadership, and Intelligence professionals become aware of, understand the value and buy AcademicLabs. You will:

  • Make relevant people finally aware of and interested in what some call the “best-kept secret” solution in the market by prospecting in a resourceful way to get demos booked.
  • Generate desire to try via customer-tailored demos, supported by our domain expert.
  • Schedule free trials with our onboarding specialist and communicate the prospects towards a desire to buy.
  • Propose, close, and celebrate €5k-100k deals.
  • Transfer customer knowledge to customer success and product team.
  • Plan and execute persistently to hit quota.
  • Forecast your bonus compensation (and expected sales) and report to management.
  • Self-reflect and keep improving your own and our team’s processes and skills (prospecting approaches, demoing, communication, selling, shortening sales cycles, forecasting…)
  • Share learnings with marketing, product, customer success, and executive team

To be successful in the above and fit in with our team, we are looking for someone:

  • As passionate as us about empowering and connecting the scientific ecosystem to accelerate human progress.
  • Strongly connected to our target audience (Business Development, External Innovation, R&D) in pharma and biotech companies
  • Excellent in effective sales communication. From kickstarting non-salesy conversations to generate leads, to moving opportunities forward, talking customer value over product features, and closing a deal, effective communication is at the core of each step to be successful in this role.
  • Entrepreneurial. As our Pharma/Biotech Sales Agent you will, along with our CBO and CEO, still have to dig in and learn a lot about our customers to keep improving our value propositions, positioning, and messaging.
  • Resourceful. We are a startup, we all need to be able to work independently, try new approaches, figure things out, solve problems, outsmart incumbents, etc. Of course, we do collaborate and help each other. But if you need a full sales structure and playbook to thrive, we are not the right place for you.
