abillionveg is hiring a Senior Back End Software Engineer to lead a team to make our API even faster and more reliable, pilot our data analytics program and improve our recommendation and personalisation algorithms.

About The Job

You’ll be in charge of our API and server deployments, scaling them to match their growth, keeping them fast, and improving their reliability. You’ll develop internal tooling and systems that help our teams run the business. You’ll create an enjoyable and productive development experience that puts a premium on designer and programmer happiness. When something goes wrong, you'll identify & address the systems issue that caused it.

Your day to day will involve introducing and encouraging best practices for code management, reliability and performance, and actively writing robust, scalable code for the back end as well as internal systems. You'll be collaborating with product managers and other teams on a regular basis to plan, design and build features and improvements to our products. You can expect an inclusive, passionate and supportive team who will meet every challenge with you and grow together.

A lot of the work initially will focus on implementing good process and getting the API to a much faster and more reliable state. Once you settle in, you'll be working on improving the quality of the results of our algorithms that ultimately decide the user engagement experience.
