Quality Assurance Engineer / Software Engineer in Test / Test Engineer

Undostres is a leader in the mobile payments space in Mexico. Our app, a first in the country, allows users anywhere to conduct their business on the phone with a single click, such as paying bills, buying movie tickets, and topping up prepaid phones. The app is fully integrated to allow credit card and PayPal payments. We are seeking exceptional Quality Assurance engineers to join our growing team in Mexico City, Mexico, working directly with the founders to perform testing of scalable web architectures, distributed systems and integration of heterogeneous complex systems.

You will be:
- Developing automation frameworks and test suites that run reliably and continuously on multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows, OS X etc.), devices, browsers etc. and with variable loads
- Performing manual workflow testing, exhibiting analytic skills and experience to anticipate the larger ramifications and interactions of a bug.
- Developing tools and processes that empower the Development team to identify gaps in the testing of their own code
- Collaborating with other engineers to perform root-cause analyses and preliminary problem investigation
- Consulting with Development team on requirements and strategies for testing new features or functionality
- Achieving product area expertise (able to answer questions, review features) and owning the product quality and ensure the product meets specified functional requirements
- Debugging problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripts and/or user-level automated tools.
- Participating in the design, test plan, code review, and implementation of testing for a new feature or functionality
- Reducing the amount of manual work required for investigating why a test failed
- Detailing clear and concise steps to reproduce a problem and demonstrate a complete understanding of its root-cause

We are looking for:
- 0-6 years of work experience with strong computer engineering fundamentals.
- Graduates from premier engineering colleges.
- Thorough understanding of testing concepts, methodologies and processes, of agile methodologies such as test driven development, continuous integration, agile testing and profound knowledge of software testing (test case creation, test execution, methods, tools, mocking/patching, etc.) at different levels (module, subsystem, system).
- Experience of planning, executing and validating tests across the full test spectrum (functional, non-functional, regression, integration, UAT, Security testing etc)
- Experience with testing (or working with) distributed systems and in a Payment/e-commerce company
- Experience with scripting and automating processes on either Linux or Windows
- Knowledge of a modern scripting language, such as JavaScript or Python and experience with Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent communication skills for documenting and reporting defects in a public bug tracker
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders in requirements gathering, design, proof-of-concept demonstrations, implementation, and support
- Someone who enjoys breaking applications by coming up weird edge cases that no one thought about
