Software R&D Engineer

We are looking for a kickass software engineer work on AR glasses.

Kura Technologies is a fast-paced, rapidly growing and exciting tech start-up seeking a Software R&D Engineer. You have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the organization and have the potential to become Kura Technologies lead software engineer. As a Software R&D Engineer, you’ll focus on bringing the Kura vision to life. You’ll collaborate with other hardware and optical engineers, designers to execute on a broad range of projects. You will work on (not all, but some part of those):

-SLAM tracking algorithms
-Visual odometry
-Numerical optical distortion correction algorithms
-Low latency display rendering, software pipeline
-Creating low level device drivers
-Integration and optimization for GPU/DSP/Mobile CPU architecture
-Advanced function prototyping

What we’re looking for in an ideal candidate:

-Someone who is hands-on and good at programming (Python, C++/C, whatever)
-A person who knows what it means to write high quality, maintainable, testable code, and enjoys doing it
-Math and physics knowledge
-Experience with algorithms
-Someone who is good at finding solutions for open ended questions
-A person who will come up with new ways of solving problems
-Computer vision experience
-Multi-discipline software/hardware engineering or hacking experience
-A person who is comfortable communicating about their work with both technical and non-technical team members, including fellow engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts
