Design Manager

The Design Manager must have 1+ years of experience in managing the end to end process including design, print, packaging and digital. This role will be focusing to build and manage Privy Express – a private brand of HalfCute, spanning across all personalized and design-focused gifting categories.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work with creative team through the design process – from market research, conceptualization, design execution to digital print and pricing.

• Responsible for creating detailed project plans, managing multiple stakeholders across Creative, Business, Tech and external parties

• Managing internal and vendor (external) expectations to align work flow in sync with given business requirement.

• On-boarding and managing print vendors, from commercial negotiations to quality aspects of print media.

• Ensuring on-target, on-time, on-budget, on-brand delivery of print and digital marketing collaterals

• Collaborate with Finance team to manage financial process for all creative/print related vendor PO’s, invoices, billing and expenses and hold accountability of key KPIs

• Carrying out internal and external market research to understand customer interests, preferences, and niche creative quotient, unravelling market opportunities and ship fresh and audience-targeted designs

• Crafting psychologically optimistic spaces where creative team and your collaborators are confident in sharing their ideas, opinions and reservations in order to get to the best customer focused solution

• Striving to pick market trends and inking it down to with design team to ensure consistent and resonating communication of the product design, marrying it with business and platform goals.
• Working hand-in-hand with Technology & Product Management, you'll define product design vision, that will improve the customer experience while satisfying business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• 1+ years’ experience and Grad/Post-grad from NIFT/FMS/NMIMS and similar Design, Media and Mass Communication institutes
• Must have a past experience in creative design or related processes, where exposure to tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and design fundamentals were a core part
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines and calendars
• Proficient with using Excel and PowerPoint, to analyse and craft presentations
• Demonstrates high level aesthetics and creative ability with a strong understanding of youth culture
• Past experience in gifting, lifestyle, fashion markets would be a big plus
• Strong organisational skills and highly detail-oriented
• Strong communication and articulation of ideas
• Ability to handle work independently with minimal supervision
