Procurement and Logistics Manager

This critical role is the focal point for all IMT procurement. Overall, you will be responsible for the day-to-day order processing for all IT hardware, software, video collaboration and broadcast technologies. You will work closely with IMT inside sales, project management and finance. You will manage all purchasing activities with distribution, manufacturers and service vendors. You will implement sourcing strategies in various technology products, i.e. storage, cloud storage, servers, networking, and collaboration technologies.

You will be responsible for providing logistics and shipping coordination for internal teams and customers. You will oversee all shipments into and out of our office to customer sites and IMT warehouses.

Candidate must have experience with these applications:

• ConnectWise Manage
• CRM: ConnectWise and/or Salesforce
• QuickBooks is a plus

Required Skills:

• Understanding of how a technology VAR operates
• Working knowledge of VAR hardware and software purchasing processes
• Experience working technology vendors and common distributors, such as:
o Arrow Electronics
o Tech Data
o Ingram Micro
o Scansource
o Dell EMC
o AWS
o Microsoft
o Quantum
o VMware
o Cisco
o Polycom
• Working knowledge vendor financing
• Understanding shipping and logistics within the hardware and software solutions
• Familiarity with international shipping and freight forwarding
• Experience transacting large transactions across multiple vendors
• Understanding of basic price negotiating with vendors, such as
o Leverage alternate suppliers for competitive sourcing, inventory shortages, and logistics pricing
o Contract negotiations to reduce purchasing costs and shipping fees
• Experience monitoring the performance of suppliers and serve as a resource to resolve common issues and problems
