Intermediate Developer for PropTech Start-Up

Would you like to join an early stage start-up and work on one of the most exciting projects the land development sector has seen in years?

LandHawk helps property developers find land and buildings in the UK that are suitable for development by harnessing the power of geospatial information. It improves the acquisition and planning processes, making it more efficient, faster and less expensive.

We are looking for an agile Intermediate Developer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a logical thinker with great attention to detail and a genuine drive to do great work, learn and progress.

The Role:
A typical day will see you:

Adding new features to and maintaining existing platform
Constructing frontend user interfaces from designs (we use Figma for designs)
Developing automation tools for backend services
Uploading and managing of large geospatial datasets
Creation and maintenance of web services (mostly with AWS)
General Fullstack
And some development of mobile applications

Skills:
Required: HTML, CSS, React, Javascript, database and SQL experience, middleware and backend experience, source control
Advantageous: AWS, Mapbox (or alternative map platform), Security DevOp experience, UAT testing, PostGIS / Postgres, Ruby on Rails, knowledge of Geospatial

Confident and effective communicator
Strives to achieve best results, asks questions rather than blindly following instructions
At least 2-3 years’ relevant industry experience

Location:
We are currently fully remote due to COVID-19 restrictions, when possible we would prefer the team to work, at least partially, from our office in Swindon.
