IT Infrastructure Head

JOB DESCRIPTION



Lead and handle a group of IT Infrastructure professionals
Responsible for all facets of the organisations technology infrastructure, including Architecture, Networks, Storage, Capacity planning, administration, operational management, and troubleshooting to ensure the efficient, stable, reliable and secure operations of the organisations technology
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for integrating and managing the company’s information technology services (Inhouse & for Clients), those supporting new enterprise-wide initiatives
Proactively introduce new solutions to support, upgrade & optimize technology solution (Software & Hardware) for current business problems and keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and their impact on the enterprise architecture.
Ensure a stable computing environment that provides stability, reliability and appropriate redundancy.
Lead the architecture, design, and integration of computing systems and Infrastructure components(Including Networks).
Lead the team of network engineering, database administration, systems engineering, and administration from IT Infrastructure prospective in addition to providing the technology foundation for the company’s enterprise business systems and applications
Document, maintain, and test a disaster recovery plan for Infrastructure and enterprise systems and applications
Oversee the engineering and management of data centre facilities
Evaluation, selection, and management of vendors, business partners, and solutions providers.


Desired Candidate Profile

10 to 12 years of experience in managing infrastructure operations for large-scale systems across multiple hardware and software platforms
Accomplished technologist, skilled in architecture, system engineering, network engineering, disaster recovery / business continuity, regulatory compliance, and cloud computing, Storage
Experience managing vendors and multi-sourcing relationships.
Working knowledge of managing a mixed environment of UNIX (Solaris), Linux, and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, client-server and Web architectures, business applications, Oracle and MySQL Databases, firewalls, information security tools and applications, network management, and an expert understanding of IT operations and best practices (ITIL, etc.)
Strong business and technical vision with experience in setting strategies, roadmaps, and budget
