Role Function: Mid - Senior Developer (ROR) - Open Position: 1
Experience: 4 + preferred
Job Location: Mumbai/Remote
Time: 10 am to 7 pm ( candidate and company is flexible )
Reports to: Head of Development (Australian Based)

RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure that projects are delivered efficiently using the best fit-for-purpose technology with sufficient quality standards. To inform technical decision making at Curve.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process to ensure compliance with Curve development quality standards
• Good Communicator (written and oral)
• Ruby on Rails 4+
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development (Unit Testing)
• Knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development (UI Testing)
• Experience using Rspec and Cucumber
• Continuous Integration (e.g. CircleCI, Travis)
• Token based authentication (e.g. JWT)

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES

• Proactive thinking with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Strong problem solving skills, should be able to research and understand undocumented application codebases
• A love of learning
• High level of Emotional Intelligence
• Good understanding of Agile
• Team player
• Strongly aligned values with Curve values (below).

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

• AngularJS or React experience or exposure
• Mobile development experience or exposure
• AWS infrastructure - cloud formation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Heroku infrastructure platform
