Senior FPGA Designer

Roles and Responsibilities
•Lead a team of system design and testing engineers
•Documenting requirements for the design from system level requirements.
•Support development such as architecture, design, analysis, and test.
•Support technical reviews and be able to present to the internal and external customer.
•Fully document design details and hold design reviews prior to implementation.
•Verify the design by generating all necessary test benches and/or test vectors and simulating with ModelSim.
•Target the design to a Xilinx/ Microsemi FPGA using standard tools.
•Able to work in a fast-paced development team, working closely with hardware and software engineers during test and integration.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

B. E/ B. Tech/ M. E/ M.Tech with 15+ years’ experience in the FPGA Design and Verification.

Preferred Skills

•Knowledge in OS, Linux drivers, and Kernel is a bonus.
•Expertise in Requirements capture, developing Design Specification, detailed design & other technical artifacts.
•Experience in implementing FPGA code on the target hardware & testing with other system components and software
•Experience evaluating IP cores from multiple vendors and performing trade studies to determine an optimal solution.
•Experience with Mentor Graphics Modelsim or Questasim, Synopsys Synplify Pro, and Libero SoC
•Experience In developing with Zynq SoC, Microsemi antifuse(RTSX and/or RTAX).
•Experience with Vivado, simulation using VIP.
•Experience using lab instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) with board-level integration/test.
•Experience in C, Xilinx SDK.
•Experience with external memory interfaces such as SRAM, SDRAM, EEPROM, NAND Flash is a must.
•Experience in communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe is a must.
•Expert in writing constraints.
•Experience in AMBA protocols such as AXI, AXI Stream is a must.
•Experience in TCL scripting is a must
•Writing well-documented, synthesis-friendly RTL.
•Experience in using On-chip debuggers like Chipscope/ Identify debugger is a must.
•Should be familiar with Analog Data converters interfacing.

•Experience in understanding, reading, and reviewing circuit schematics/ drawings.
•Should be a self-directed person with the ability to handle a dynamic work environment.
•Space hardware, communication hardware, and/or radiation background is a plus.
