Software Engineer, Marketplace (Magento)

Mav Farm is a technology company headquartered in Los Angeles, California with a remote and distributed team, that designs and develops enterprise and consumer media, commerce, and financial software and services. We provide tools for artists, creators, app developers, and businesses to collaborate with one another to captivate audiences and human-machines in creative, engaging, and unobtrusive ways - that is, sans advertising. Mav Farm was founded with the goal of a fully decentralized peer-to-peer art, media and trade network - that is, to provide artists, creators, organizations and businesses access to and complete control of the universal decentralized distribution of their art, media and commerce.

There are over 600k users watching and shopping from over 500 of their favorite creators, cultural influencers, and brands. Not only is Mav Farm helping creators and businesses earn more for their efforts, but is also helping their audiences find new people, brands, and stories to engage with in unique and uncompromising ways.

Mav Farm is looking for a full stack engineer with bright eyes and thirst for challenging activities. We are focusing on solving challenging tasks, implementing high load solutions, touching different technologies related to e-commerce, m-commerce, omnichannel solutions, service bus, parallel executions, containering, headless implementation, big catalog, performance tuning, system audits — all of these are part of our daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of product features or sub-systems
• Produce code sufficiently supported by unit tests
• Develop and maintain technical user documentation related to the project
• Actively participate in architecture discussions and proposes solutions to system and product changes cross teams
• Engage in peer Code review
• Participate fully in all scrum activities

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with Magento 2
• 2+ years experience with PHP and/or JavaWeb application fundamentals
• Deep understanding of Object Oriented principles
• Knowledge of frameworks such as Zend, Prototype(JS), JQuery(J) Relational Databases (MySQL)
• Familiarity of QA automation processes and tools such as Selenium and PHP
• Unit Experience with Version Control Systems (GIT)
• UNIX systems on a user level
• Experience with Agile/Scrum

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading and guiding Open Source projects
• Significant experience building secure applications
• Knowledge of the latest attack trends, tools and the threat landscape
