About the Role:
We are looking for a talented Talent Acquisition Manager passionate about building a diverse, exceptional team of top-notch performers. You will play a vital role in shaping our company culture and building an outstanding team to drive Pontosense’s growth and success. As someone excited about the prospect of owning the recruiting process from end-to-end, you are strategic in your approach to hiring and are always looking for ways to improve and optimize recruiting operations. In short, you will become our team’s foundation, providing a strong talent base for which Pontosense will grow.

Please Note: This is a hybrid position and is based in our Toronto or Waterloo office. The salary range for this role is $84,000 - $104,000.
As a Talent Acquisition Manager, you will:
Partner with hiring managers to develop and implement a comprehensive hiring strategy that reflects Pontosense's business objectives
Understand the current and future hiring needs of each functional area of the organization and maintain a proactive approach to their recruitment needs
Utilize various recruitment methods, including social media, job boards, referrals, and networking events to attract and engage top talent
Provide an exceptional candidate experience by delivering timely, thoughtful, and helpful updates and feedback
Negotiate job offers, compensation packages, and benefits with candidates
Maintain accurate candidate data and metrics while researching innovative recruitment strategies and creative solutions to generate a high-quality candidate pipeline while promoting more efficient hiring processes
Onboard and offboard employees, including new hire orientation and ensuring the proper legal employment documentation is filled out, including exit process counselling
Provide expert advice and counsel to the team on talent acquisition best practices, including the use of tools, systems, etc
Help build and promote Pontosense's employer brand
Develop and manage the recruiting budget
What we’re looking for:
To be successful in this role, there are a few things that we are looking for. This is by no means an exhaustive list, if you do not meet most or all of these points, we still encourage you to apply.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
A minimum of 3 years of recruiting or HR experience
Experience working in a tech start-up environment is a bonus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
Strong organizational skills to easily manage the entire candidate pipeline for multiple positions is crucial
Able to think strategically to build an exceptional team that aligns with hiring manager needs and overall business objectives
Experienced in refining and improving recruitment strategies; a critical thinker with a data-driven mindset
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, and build relationships with candidates and potential hires to strengthen our branding
