Our team needs your help to build on this momentum as we introduce new home electrification products and expand our marketplace.

The Design team currently consists of 7 designers executing product and marketing design; We’re highly engaged in the work we do, and care deeply about each other and our efforts to empower people to make smarter energy decisions through simplicity, transparency, and choice.

Overview

EnergySage is seeking a talented Senior Art Director to join our team on a contract basis to help lead our new visual identification rollout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, brand development, and creative strategy. This role will be responsible for developing Viz ID guidelines, designing for web and social media, creating videos, and executing tactical changes to align with our new brand direction.

What You'll Do:

• Develop Viz ID guidelines and establish processes to ensure brand consistency and quality across all platforms and ensure all visual assets adhere to brand guidelines and standards
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and strategies
• Work closely with the creative team to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop visual solutions
• Design and create visual assets for the web, social media, presentations and decks, print collateral and other digital and physical channels
• Work with our amazing design team and freelancers as needed to meet our ambitious video production goals
• Create engaging social media posts and ads that reflect the EnergySage brand and resonate with our audience
• Hire and manage external agencies and freelancers to augment our capabilities and capacity to meet the needs of our Marketing team and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines
• Develop compelling campaign visual concepts and build visually cohesive campaigns across channels and mediums
• Provide creative direction and guidance to the internal design team and external resources to replace existing images, data visualizations, and illustrations on our ~1k content pages with brand-aligned alternatives

What We Look For:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or related field
• Proven experience as an Art Director or in a similar creative role
• Strong portfolio showcasing innovative creative design and branding projects
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of current design trends and best practices
• Copywriting and video skills a plus

Duration: 4-6 months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
