The Role

Financial Controller: Part-Time

Seatrec has an immediate opening for a Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial reports. This role is responsible for managing internal control implementation, assisting with budget preparation, ensure reporting compliance, and managing transaction reporting process.

Position Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
• Guide financial decisions by applying company polices and procedures
• Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
• Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development
• Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organization budgets and expenditures
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures
• Additional duties may be assigned
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
• 5 or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
• Experience working with QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of federal, local and state tax regulations and compliance reporting
• Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes, and developing budgets.
Desirable Capabilities:
• Professional certification, such as CPA
• Familiarity with government contract and audit
