We're seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to work closely with our Tech Lead designing, architecting, developing, and implementing secure and scalable critical business solutions. Stepping into this very challenging role will mean stepping into a dynamic environment. There’ll be a steep learning curve, but we believe the future belongs to those who build it.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, architect, develop and implement secure and scalable critical business solutions.
• Translate Business and User needs into technical requirements and socialize architectural designs to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Build and launch products rapidly and incrementally.
• Delivering quality features on time and on budget and executing against project plans and delivery commitments.
• Design and implement complex features and functionalities.
• Optimize application performance and efficiency.
• Identify the root cause of the issue and implement efficient solutions while assessing the impact analysis.
• Create and maintain design documents, including Process and Sequence Diagram.
• Providing technical expertise to developers, architects, and analysts.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as product and project managers, architects, UX, and QA engineers.
• Evolving the technical direction of the services.
• Ensuring the correct operation of the services that you own.
• Working with your team members to manage the day-to-day development activities.
• Helping in hiring engineers for your team.

Who You Are:

• 7+ years of experience with Python
• 5+ years of experience with MySQL/Maria DB
• 5+ years of experience programming in HTML5, Javascript, and CSS3
• Experience with Parallel processing and Multi-threading
• Experience with NoSQL (Redis/ Memcached)
• Web service integration using technologies such as REST, XML, JSON
• Technical experience required with the following: Linux (Ubuntu, Centos, Gentoo), Apache/NGINX/Haproxy web servers
• Experience with Git, Svn
• Extensive Object-Oriented programming experience
• Experience with CI/CD, Automation
• Experience working with additional languages is a plus (Perl, Node.js, Php, C/C++, etc.)

Compensation:

The base salary range is: $115,000 - $130,000

The Base Pay Range for this position is based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and the company's compensation strategies. However, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other objective business. Convoso’s compensation package also includes equity for all eligible U.S full time roles and exceptional benefits, including generous 401k match.
